Mrs. C. J. Rickman a young farm mother in Childress Texas rescued her two and a half year old son Donald Glenn from a 14 foot deep cistern. Unable to reach a ladder she tied a rope to a tree and climbed down while gripping the boy by his clothing with her teeth pulling both to safety. Donald Glenn had minor head bruises and the mother suffered rope burns on hands and legs.
