MSU Student and Great Falls Man Die in Boating Mishaps
Two Montana men died in separate boating accidents on Wednesday. Fred Rewey a 2 year old Milwaukee resident and MSU student was swept by the Clark Fork River current near the Higgins Avenue Bridge in Missoula during a training run. Steve Feist a 42 year old Great Falls man died when his small outboard craft capsized while being demonstrated to three potential buyers at Broadwater Bay within Great Falls city limits. Rescue efforts continued into the night as divers searched the Missouri River for Feist.

Anaconda Plans 50 Million Utah Montana Year
Anaconda Co will spend 50 million dollars in Montana this year on new plants and improved facilities. Chairman Clyde E. Weed announced two units of the new multimillion Butte copper concentrator should be in operation in August with more units phased in until the 42 000 tons per day mill is fully running early in 1964. He also noted tests on producing alumina from high alumina bearing clays show highly satisfactory results. The talks were featured at the 68th annual stockholders meeting in the Washoe Theater attended by about 450 people.
