State Wreck Fatal to trio in Montana crash near Wolf Point
A Sunday morning wreck 10.5 miles east of Wolf Point killed Patrick Azure 22 of Poplar Elizabeth Burns 42 of Poplar and Jeanette LaVallie 16 of Brockton. Three others Charles Sly 35 Ernest Barker 30 and Delma Sayers 16 all of Poplar were hurt. truck driver Sid Kimball of Edmonton Alberta uninjured.

VFW Plots Memorial Day Preparations in Butte Cemetery
Members of VFW Butte Post 1448, with help from the Butte Painters Union and city crews, prepared Mountain View Cemetery for Memorial Day by painting the 55 foot high flagpole. Missoula Youth Drowns in Ronan Reservoir
Kenneth Kenyon, 17, of Missoula, drowned while swimming in Kicking Horse Reservoir near Ronan. Two companions reached shore as Kenyon and another youth struggled in the bay center. Hoggy Lembke attempted a rescue. Divers recovered the body in 20 feet of water, about 150 feet from shore.

Foreyet Evacuated After Dam Burst In Ontario
Foreyet, an Ontario town about 60 air miles west of Timmins, faced a burst Ivanhoe Lake Dam flooding the village. Five seaplanes and two helicopters airlifted women and children while a relief train was halted five miles away. No deaths reported. some homes half submerged, others on high ground safe.

Ralph K. Warnstrom, 22, of 2201 Ash, drove his car into a power pole near the Meaderville Volunteer Fire Department. The car missed the turn, rolled onto the lawn, broke a cyclone fence, and landed on its top. Warnstrom was admitted to St. James Community Hospital after being cut badly.

Woman Survives Plane Crash After Landing With Dead Husband
In Dallas Love Field a frightened woman with her husband slumped at the controls piloted a single engine 1955 Beechcraft Bonanza from Fort Worth to Dallas and landed after a crash. She survived severe injuries while her 50 year old husband died of a heart attack at the controls. The plane bounced and skidded, the left wing crumpled as tower personnel directed the attempt.
