Fred Sullivan, 11, of 1007 Nevada avenue, is in serious condition at St. James hospital after a car struck him near the Hebgen playgrounds shortly after 7 30 last evening. The car is said to have been driven by Clarence McGinnis, 528 Garden avenue. He suffered severe bruises and shock, with attending physicians reporting the injuries as serious.

Unmasked robbers last night held up Warren avenue and Park street stations in Butte, forcing attendant Joseph Copperl into a side room. They demanded cash, rifled the registers, and escaped with $35 after commanding the attendant to stay put.

Washington May 13 George W Wickersham internationally known lawyer and former attorney general in the Taft administration will become chairman of President Hoover s law enforcement investigating commission He consented to join the commission and will head the probe into prohibition enforcement guiding the inquiry as head of the body
An Arbor Day program on the School of Mines campus will feature six Butte groups planting trees. The Rocky Mountain Garden club sponsors the event with clubs and students contributing juniper, Colorado blue spruce, mountain ash, Gomphostoma, Canadian poplar, and green ash trees.
