Eagles of Anaconda plan to initiate over 100 members
Anaconda lodge of the Fraternal Order of Eagles expects to initiate more than 100 new members at the next meeting on Wednesday in Anaconda. A large Butte delegation will attend as two teams led by Joe Matelich and Elmer Spencer competed in a month long drive. The losing team must banquet the winners, and a formal program with music and dancing is planned. New officers for the year include Harry Hartz as president and Donald McLeod as vice president.

Funeral services for Charles Anderson a popular Anaconda resident were held at 3 p.m. at the C. A. Tuttle company chapel officiated by Rev J B Lonnquist of the Swedish Lutheran church. Mrs Conrad Gustafson sang Saved by Grace and Sometime We’ll Understand with Miss Anna Clucas on the organ. The body will be sent tomorrow to Ironwood Michigan for interment. Minnie Gray a niece of Chamberlain South Dakota will accompany the remains. Many friends attended the services yesterday and floral offerings showed respect.

Health nurse to serve Park county districts in September
A Park County Federation of Women’s Clubs committee announced the arrival of a health nurse to serve rural schools in Park Wheatland and Judith Basin counties. County commissioners approved 300 for expenses to be funded from Christmas tuberculosis seal sales, with rotation trips and six weeks in Wheatland, three in Judith Basin, and three in Park.
