Mikalen Running Fisher Finds Roots at UM
Mikalen Running Fisher grew up on the Blackfeet Reservation and moved to Missoula to attend the University of Montana in 2017. She faced isolation as a Native American student, felt homesick, and often drove 200 miles home on weekends to Browning while adjusting to college life.
