Sixteen Montana livestock producers and industry figures join Montana State College officials as judges for the Deckmarine Lite International Livestock Show at Montana State College May 10 to 12. Flathead Forest Staff Begin Summer Posts

In May 1944 three Flathead National Forest men fly to Isolated Big Prairie station to start summer posts. District rangers Neil Gardiner and Ted Pailin, trail foreman Oscar Southern depart for South Park primitive area near Rhodapee. Other openings include Upper Swan and North Fork districts as crews move in around mid May and late April.

Kalispell Father and Son Drown in Flathead Lake

Sheriff reports Burton and his son David drowned off Big Arm in Flathead Lake on Sunday afternoon. Both bodies recovered and attempts at revival failed. Burton family member Mrs Burton survives. The men were in a canvas boat. no water remained in the craft when recovered.

Found Dead in Gallatin County Auto Seat

Three Forks May 10. Jack Hale about 44 was found dead in the tack seat of an automobile Sunday afternoon. Gallatin County Coroner Canlea I. Rice said an autopsy fixed cause of death as possible monoxide inhalation. Body found by A. Moore, stepfather of the deceased, no indication of foul play, no inquest planned.

Butte High School band returns to the Crystal room of the A C M Employes club for a second appearance. South Side Group to Meet Thursday

Inter scholastic program set for large student participation

Missoula May 10 1 306 students will attend the Montana State university interscholastic program chaired by Tr J W Howard.
