A T M Cate 25 of Boise Idaho was drowned near Madras Oregon when he slipped from a rock while fishing. He had worked for Pacific Finance in Tacoma and with Portland auto firms and recently moved to Boise to work as an automobile salesman. His widow survives.

Express Employe Departs When 18 Foot Snake Takes Up Rule
In Chicago on May 10 an 18 foot python en route from Singapore to Brownsville Texas was declared ruler of an American Express baggage car after it escaped and halted a train. Express messenger William Stewart yelled, pulled the bell cord, and the car was sealed at Marion then sent to Chicago. Richard Auer of Lincoln Park Zoo calmed the snake and secured it back in its cage. A patrolman doubted the tale but confirmed the snakes were real.
