Helena police report theft at the Northern Pacific Railway railyards ware- house on the rip track. About 2030 pounds of railway equipment including 58 journal brasses valued at 1018 dollars were taken between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday. Two or three suspects entered by breaking a warehouse window and passed items to accomplices.

Boy Loses Eyesight After Shell Explodes in Harlowton
12-year-old Glen Chamberlain and 12-year-old Carl Fisk unearthed an old rusted shell on the National Guard rifle range west of Harlowton. The shell exploded injuring Chamberlain, who lost both eyes and his right hand. Fisk aided Chamberlain to the highway. a passing motorist took them to a hospital. Chamberlain is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Chamberlain and was later moved to a Billings hospital.

Episcopal Church Conference Set in Great Falls
The Montana Diocese of the Episcopal Church will convene in Great Falls May 15 to 17 with Bishop Henry H. Daniels presiding. About 200 clergymen and lay members are expected along with the Episcopal Women’s Auxiliary. Registration opens Tuesday afternoon and events include an opening address, a reception, a banquet, and a business meeting to elect a coadjutor. John Schmitt 69 of Anaconda died in San Francisco after a heart attack. He worked over 50 years for Anaconda Company, recently retired, and lived in San Francisco with wife Florence. Plea of Innocent Entered in Montana Murder Case
Anaconda man Matias Tupas, 60, pleads innocent in district court to a murder charge for killing 70 year old Antonio Luna at the Commoch ranch near Galen. Bond set at 10,000, defendant remanded to county custody with court-appointed counsel. Luna was shot twice with a .38 revolver in April. Also, Lynn Harding and Darwin Bailey enter not guilty pleas to grand larceny for two tons of mine rails from Gold Coin Mine with 2,000 bond each.
