Leo Boland Democrat of the Third ward was chosen president and Tom R. Morgan Republican of the Seventh ward was elected vice president at the Butte city council reorganizational meeting last night. Committees to be named at the next meeting.

A May 5 tremor struck Rangoon at 6 15 p m killing at least fifty and wounding about 150. Casualties rose as figures were compiled, with Mahatma Gandhi followers linking the quake to his arrest as a supposed supernatural sign.
