Bonner Dies In Butte Crash With Truck
John P. Bonner 53, vice president of Cahill-Mooney Construction, died Thursday afternoon after his car collided with a flatbed truck driven by Albert Molignani on Centennial Avenue west of Butte. Molignani was hospitalized with non serious face and shoulder injuries. Bonner, a Butte resident born 1913, was treated at St. James Community Hospital.

Lunar Orbiter 4 launches ambitious moon mapping mission
Lunar Orbiter 4 blasted from Cape Kennedy aboard an Atlas Agena rocket to photograph 95 percent of the moon's near side and much of the far side in an 89 hour, 245519 mile flight. The probe aims for an egg shaped lunar orbit with cameras starting May 11 to reveal features as small as 200 feet.
