Bomb threat interrupts murder trial mercy urged for teen killer
Dennis Whitney a 17 year old California youth convicted of first degree murder for Virginia Selby’s death faced a possible life sentence after a jury recommended mercy. A telephoned bomb report emptied the Palm Beach County courthouse delaying the verdict which was delivered after new instructions. FBI Jails Trip In Butte Break In
Three men were arrested in Butte by FBI agents over an April 14 burglary at the Butte Metal Trades Federal Credit Union in the Miners Union Building. A check protector and a book of checks were taken. Szolesan, 19, was arraigned and bail set at 1500 dollars. preliminary hearing scheduled. Perez, 35, and Ferriter, about 25, were later arrested and to be arraigned. All three are jailed.

Effie Cain 95 Dies After Illness
Deer Lodge Mrs Effie Cain 95 died Wednesday in a local hospital after several months illness. Born January 17 1865 in Illinois she moved to Helmville in 1894 homesteaded on Urname Creek.
