Gas vent blocked by sparrow injures seven in Calgary home
Seven people were found unconscious in a Calgary house when a sparrow blocked a gas vent causing fumes to fill the home. The victims include Mrs. Sidney Smith and two of her children, and Mr and Mrs Mack Smith with two children. Sidney Smith Jr. alerted authorities after returning from work. Police and gas inspectors recovered the bird in the vent.
