Butte Library contract totals aid clarified
Contracts totaling 154 577 30 for reconstruction of the city library were awarded by Butte City Council. The work may finish by October 1. Low bids went to Taylor McDonnell for the general contract 97 880 plus 9 272 alternates for a veneer. Reardon Heating and Plumbing bid 25 295 for mechanical and LeSage's Inc 10 997 for electrical. The project includes an 11 133 30 architect fee to Walter Hinick, with 8 000 already paid. Insurance funds of about 164 870 remain to cover overall costs leaving limited funds for books and furnishings. Construction to start soon with expected five month duration.
