House approves exemptions to wage-hour law

London May 2 The admiralty announced British naval vessels sank the sloop HMS Bittern 1190 tons after bombing and fire from German planes. One attacker was shot down and no casualties were reported. Bittern had 125 men and was completed in 1938 to prevent navigation hazards.

King Haakon VII of Norway the Nygaardsvold government flee Molde near Andalsnes and head north toward an unknown destination a Norwegian spokesman said German reports of Sweden denial noted. The group is believed to be in northern Norway above Trondheim after bombing by German forces. Molde lies across Moldefjord from the former Allied landing base at Andalsnes occupied today.
