Eighty nine candidates for United States citizenship will gather in the U S district court at the federal building this morning to begin examinations as the spring naturalization session gets under way. Federal Judge James H. Baldwin and a naturalization examiner from Spokane will conduct the hearings. Harold L. She was born in this city a citizen of the United States but became a citizen of China when she married. The total class numbers 89 persons one less than the 90 who received final papers at federal court hearings last fall. The hearing this morning is the first of two scheduled this week. Friday and Saturday Judge J J Lynch will conduct hearings for 74 others seeking final papers in the district court at the Silver Bow county courthouse. Mining Engineer Edward Clark Killed in Butte Mine Fall
Edward Ross Clark Jr., 26, a Butte mining engineer and MIT graduate, died after injuries from a 3 o'clock fall of ground at the Anselmo mine’s 3400 level. He arrived in Butte in 1936 from Kingston Pennsylvania and became state secretary of MIT alumni. His body rested at Richards funeral home.
