Body of Dillon woman found after weeklong search

The body of Ina Ward, 44, missing for almost a week, was found in a field east of Dillon. Coroner Raymond Schwartz ruled death exposure with no foul play. Ward, born April 1, 1923 in Salmon Idaho, served in the Women’s Marine Corps in World War II and lived in Dillon. Survived by her father Nephi Ward of Salmon and a sister in Gibbonsville. Remains sent to Salmon for services and burial.

Wounded attendant in holdup shows no new leads

The gunman took cash and rifled drawers and cabinets before fleeing. Wood described the suspect as tall and lanky in black pants and a torn jacket.
