High School Construction Underway In Helena

Officials announced start of work on a new Helena high school with a $440,000 bond issue and $360,000 government grant. Excavation by O F Teaming and Trucking begins, with six weeks required for digging and two weeks more before full construction. Contracts total $683,982 leaving $116,018 for equipment and supplies.

Carola Goya to perform Latin dances at Fox Theater

World famous Latin danseuse Carola Goya appears at the Fox theater in Butte this evening in a Spanish dance recital presented by the Community Concert association. Beatrice Burford and Norman Secon will also perform, with rapid costume changes praised by critics and a seamless program of solo and ensemble pieces.

Highland Chapter to Visit Bozeman

Highland chapter of the Order of DeMolay will make a social call to Bozeman tonight. All members who go should meet at the temple at 5:30. Those without reservations should phone 7236. The visit honors the birthdays of Dad Tudor of Bozeman and Dad Thomas of Butte. Bozeman chapter will provide part of the program and overnight accommodations.

Butte High School Plans Revealing Concrete Skeleton Building

Architect J Van Teylingen of Great Falls leads plans for a three to four story concrete skeleton school in Butte spanning Wyoming Porphyry and Porphyry Gold streets. The 200 by 300 foot structure includes a swimming pool gymnasium auditorium and breakfast rooms with terrazzo floors and maple finish classrooms. Sunshine Girls to Be Organized in Butte

The Butte council of Sunshine Girls sponsored by Calanthe Temple No. 9 Pythian Sisters will be organized this afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Pythian Castle.
