Twelve to Be Taken Into V F W by Butte Post
Twelve men will be initiated into Veterans of Foreign Wars by Butte post No 1448 during a nationwide Hello America hour from 9 30 to 10 30 in Washington and a local service at the Veterans hall on South Arizona street. Knox Reports Dozens of Small Aircraft Carriers in Service
Secretary Knox announced that many auxiliary aircraft carriers are already in combat zones with many more heading for action or under construction. Vice Admiral Horne noted rapid progress and some have seen combat in seven seas, though speed limits require favorable weather for operations. Insanity Verdict Returned in Baldwin Case
A district court jury found Morrison Baldwin not guilty by reason of insanity after a nine hour deliberation over an assault with intent to kill charge arising from the June 26 shooting of his former wife Gertrude Stella Day.
