Traffic accident kills Butte pair
Edward Duane Gray 28 of Butte and Mavis Deshequette 21 died in an early Saturday Highway 91 crash east of Butte near the Berkeley Pit. Deshequette died at Silver Bow General Hospital. autopsy pending for Gray. The car, driven at high speed by Gray, skidded 180 feet into a ditch then along a borrow pit 62 feet before stopping. Police and coroner investigations continue.

Butte residents enjoyed sunny skies and mild temps Saturday as Easter paraders faced cloudy conditions today. Children played baseball in city parks for the first time this year while locals washed cars and flew kites. The forecast calls for highs around 40s with mostly cloudy skies and possible rain through Monday. Saturday topped at 41 degrees.

Bozeman Engineer Wins Top Prize at Exposition
Leonard W. Gray son of Bozeman earned the sweep stakes award at the Inventors and Manufacturers Exposition for his Grace-N-Air saucer shaped air transportation device. Grounded space trio finds voyage dull in backyard capsule
Three youths Charles Goff Robbic Kee and Rick Kee completed a 5 000 mile week long space voyage without leaving the ground. They greeted by mothers PTA officials and friends in Rosemead California after splashdown. The boys built a nine foot plywood capsule and planned a two week simulated mission to Mars once a more comfortable craft is built.
