Anaconda Co. to Reactivate Zinc Plant in Anaconda
The Anaconda Co. will rehabilitate and reactivate its zinc refinery in Anaconda with about 300 plus jobs. The plan includes four electrolytic units and imports 9,000 to 10,000 tons of Pine Point concentrates monthly from Pine Point Mines Ltd. in Canada under a tolling arrangement.

Rock rolls onto road injuring girl in Montana crash
Carol Ann Potee 21 of Clancy suffered facial cuts and possible broken ribs after a car hit a rock on U S 9 near Elk Park. The vehicle left the road and dropped 60 feet. her father Robert was uninjured as the lone passenger. She was taken to Silver Bow General Hospital for observation.

Anaconda Man Among Two Killed in U S 80 Wreck
An Anaconda Mont man Perry Millican age 65 and Grants Pass Oregon resident Pearl Bird age 74 died in a four car crash on U S 80 east of San Diego California. Milliron driving a westbound car sideswiped two vehicles before a head on collision. Millican had moved from Harlowton to Anaconda ten years ago and later worked as an electrical worker at the Morel sub station before retiring. Survivors include a daughter in Helena and a stepson in Great Falls. His body was sent to Great Falls.

H-bomb recovery delayed near Palomares Beach
