Health department seeks 150 million for budget gaps
The Montana Health Department asked lawmakers to approve 150 million dollars outside the current budget bill to cover upcoming bills and two future years. Director Charlie Brereton cited about 60 million to close out the last session’s books with 56.56 million outlined by Thursday. Funds include 37.6 million for higher operating costs at Montana State Hospital Warm Springs and 13.7 million for higher Medicaid enrollment.
