72 Aliens Given Diplomas Following Naturalization Training
Seventy two graduates of an Americanization school sponsored by the Silver Bow American Legion post in partnership with the local school board the Y M C A and the WPA received diplomas after completing a training course for naturalization hearings to be held in Butte courts this week. The ceremony was in the old Butte school gymnasium with Joe Toole presiding. Speakers and a musical program accompanied the event which marked a total of about 1,500 aliens taught the fundamentals of American life since the program began fifteen years ago.
