Margaret Shea 72 of Mueller Apts died Sunday in local hospital from injuries after being struck by a car at Washington and Granite early Friday. Driver Ray Miller left 45 foot skid marks. witness described Shea walking south as car came west. Autopsy to be ordered. investigation ongoing. Shea, a St. Patrick Church member born August 19, 1896, had worked as house mother at St. James Community Hospital. Survives sister Mrs. W. J. Seitz of Sidney. Services pending.

Great Falls Woman Killed in Monarch Canyon Crash
Mrs. Vollie Brown 76 of Great Falls died Sunday in a multiple car wreck on Monarch Canyon Road about 20 miles from Kings Hill ski area. Her husband’s car left the road and hit a boulder while a following vehicle tried to avoid the stalled car. Brown was knocked over an embankment. The death marked the 33rd of the year and the eighth since Friday.
