Construction on the Clyde E. Weed Concentrator addition in Butte paused Thursday due to a jurisdictional dispute involving Tide Bay Electric Corp of Tacoma and Poe and Helpers Local 316. About 110 workers were idled as pickets were set at Tide Bay’s gate by Local 81 ironworkers.

County keeps tract for hospital expansion project
The Board of County Commissioners unanimously voted to retain a 3.82 acre tract south of Silver Bow General Hospital on Continental Drive for expansion. Bid at last December sale was 15000 but the high bidder Ms Ross Smathers failed to complete. The parcel will not be offered at the upcoming sale list planned for late spring.
