Total Vote Change in City Canvass Sees Lowered Turnout

Train Crash Kills Two Men at Galen Crossing
Two retirees from Anaconda, Andrew Strommen 78 and Frank Landreville 60, died when the Northern Pacific North Coast Limited struck their car at the Galen crossing near the state sanitarium in Deer Lodge Valley. The westbound train traveled 75 mph. brakes were applied before impact. wreckage stretched over 1,000 feet. An inquest will be held. witnesses said the men did not see the approaching train.

Ten year old Tom McNevin was found dead eight miles northwest of Belleville after a ransom demand. Police say scoutmaster Warren Williamson, 35, a Belleville paper towel firm partner, killed himself Tuesday night. The father Donald McNevin heads a local creamery and once served as alderman.
