Butte Bozeman war victims die in Vietnam incident
Parents of Butte native Robert W. Cawley learned his commander J C Hagl of Bozeman was killed in the same Sung Thach Han river valley ambush. Cawley died when the armored troop carrier hit a mine in Vietnam near the DMZ while Hagl, a 16 year Navy veteran, led the carrier. Last rites await arrival of the bodies.
