Inquest Opened Into Shooting Of Montana State Student
In Missoula on March 20 Sylvester Ward 46 held in jail awaiting an inquest Thursday into the death of Robert Rooney 21 a Montana State University student. County Attorney Edward Dussault said Rooney was killed by a rifle shot fired by Ward a World War II veteran. The shooting happened in front of the Ward home after a beer parlor meeting. Ward claims self defense after a struggle.
