Margaret English 78 Dies After Anaconda Car Crash
Margaret English age 78 of Anaconda died in a Mesa Arizona hospital from injuries suffered March 10 in a U S Highway 60 70 rear end collision east of Mesa. She was a passenger in a car driven by her sister Mary A McCarthy 65. The car was struck by a truck driven by Albert Edwin Adams 41 of Kenosha Wisconsin. Mrs McCarthy was severely injured and hospitalized. Mrs English resided at 604 Maple and was born in Ireland. Her husband Bert English died about ten years ago. She was a member of St Paul Church and leaving behind Patrick Collins and his wife of Anaconda and other siblings.

Jean Sorenson 53 goes on trial for first degree murder in the slaying of her employer Ted Record, claiming self defense. Opening proceedings are set for 10 a.m. in District Court with Judge Sid G. Man Killed When Truck Is Hit By Freight Engine
Carl E. Johnson Sr. about 65 was killed Saturday night at Half Moon crossing two miles west of Columbia Falls. His truck was struck by a Great Northern freight engine and carried 158 feet to Gagner Creek bridge where he was thrown 40 feet to the ice. Johnson worked 30 years for Stoltzke Land and Lumber Co. at Half Moon and lived near the tracks where he was struck. he was a mill mechanic.

County to Get 150000 Planning Grant for Sewer Project

Butte Mother Backs Into Son With Car
A two year old boy was struck by his mother as she backed the family car from their trailer in Butte. Kenneth Forgette, 3007 Wynne, was admitted to St James Community Hospital with injuries not yet determined pending exam. Assistant Police Chief Vern Maddock said Doris Forgette was the driver and had placed the child on the trailer steps before he trailed after her.
