Baltimore March 18 Three years after the Blalock Taussig blue baby operation doctors at Johns Hopkins report the life saving surgery is now routine. More than 600 blue baby operations have been performed to date.
A dental powder speeds comfort by securing plates with no taste. Hopkins treats blue babies with the Blalock Taussig procedure to correct congenital heart defects. Children undergo preoperative studies, angiography, and a multi day postoperative recovery before possible discharge within two weeks and annual follow ups.
Paris reports that U.S. diplomats expect a limited alliance within three months with western European nations to provide arms and planes but no troops to curb Soviet pressure. The pact would include Britain France Belgium the Netherlands and Luxembourg and is hoped to be the first peacetime military accord with Europe.
Professional foresters from across Montana will gather for the northern Rocky Mountain section Society of American Foresters one day meeting in Missoula. Chairman Kenneth P.
