Governor Roy E. Ayers vetoed fourteen bills and signed thirty seven during today’s session in Helena. He prepared to dispose of the remaining ten measures tomorrow, including H B 100 which reenacts the grazing commission law and allocates twenty thousand dollars for its continued operation.
In New London Texas a massive explosion at the London Consolidated School killed hundreds of students and teachers. Rescue efforts retrieved 214 bodies by 8:15 p.m. as Governor Allred ordered martial law and National Guard troops to the scene.
