Glacier National Park visits dip slightly in 2022 totals
Glacier National Park remained a top destination with 2,908,458 visitors in 2022, a 5.1 percent drop from 2021. Spokeswoman Gina Kerzman notes winter and shoulder months saw weaker turnout, while the West Glacier Go ing-to-the-Sun Road entrance continued to register the heaviest traffic, accounting for 40 to 47 percent of entrances from 2017 to 2022.

Mother sentenced in abuse of baby
Leah Christine Freeman pleaded no contest to assaulting her baby boy. District Court Judge Robert Whelan granted a five year suspended sentence with probation and a violent offender registration. Prosecutor Ann Shea urged at least ten years suspended with strict conditions and described no responsibility for the injuries. A photo of the child’s facial injuries was shown to the judge.
