Army private and scoutmaster William F. Colley reported a gun battle from Saturday evening to Monday with two men in a canyon seven miles below Boulder dam. He said he hit one man and heard a body drop toward the Colorado river. Ranger teams reached the canyon and planned to return with climbing gear to examine a cave from which firing was claimed.
