Supreme Court hears claims on aviation fund payments
In Helena on March 10 the Montana Supreme Court heard arguments over paying more than 48000 in aviation fund claims held up since December. Assistant Attorney General Alfred F. Doneherty urged denial citing unconstitutional use without biannual appropriation while Cheadle and friends argued the aviation fund suffices. Friends include Helena officials and county commissioners. If unpaid the aeronautics commission could cease to exist. In Methuenmass a squirrel caused a long power outage by chewing a substation switch panel, interrupting light and power in Andover briefly and permanently there.
