Federal income tax payments may be made until eight oclock tonight at the collector of internal revenue headquarters in the federal building. After today penalties for delinquencies will apply. Offices will stay open Saturday afternoon and tonight because March 15 falls on a Sunday. Helena March 18 Congressman Roy E Ayres of Lewistown anounced his candidacy for Montana governor on the Democratic ticket and said in an interview he favored the proposed tax bill levying taxes on distributed surpluses or corporate reserves. He leaves for Great Falls and Lewistown to Washington by mid next week and returns after Congress adjourns. He warned big business opposes the legislation and accused the administration of trying to curb corporate reserves while arguing the bill protects stockholders and reserves for working capital and emergencies.
