Public schools in the city will close Friday afternoon for Easter vacation from Friday to Monday morning March 28. Quarterly exams are set today tomorrow and Friday in the high school. Grades reports come Wednesday March 30. The second quarter of the second semester runs March 28 through May 27.

Senator Burton Wheeler argues remonetization of silver would ease the current economy more than any other plan before Congress. He is in Montana for private business and spoke for Roosevelt en route to Butte, predicting Roosevelt’s nomination and election. Wheeler favors parity of silver to gold at 16 to 1 and notes other silver schemes exist.
