Cuba dominates world sugar with 78 percent of output and supplies over 50 percent of US consumption yet Cuban producers face low prices under two cents a pound. President Hoover rounds out his White House team by naming Representative Walter H Newton of Minnesota to be administrative assistant with the title secretary. He will liaison between the president and federal bureaus and agencies and help coordinate the work of the government’s ten departments.
Helena March 15. Montana motorists who have operated autos since Jan 1 without paying licenses are guilty of a misdemeanor and liable to a maximum fine of $100, says an attorney general opinion. The opinion cites annual registration must be filed with the registrar by Jan 1. the 10 percent late penalty applies only in specific exemptions.
