More than 360 Butte girls gathered at Butte high school gym for the eighteenth anniversary birthday frolic of the Camp Fire Girls. The event featured an Indian lore theme and large birthday cakes for each group. Wohelo court at 2 pm at the YMCA will test for higher rank, under a committee led by Mrs. D. G. Stivers and with Mrs. T. J. Walker, Mrs. Arthur Linforth, and Mrs. H. D. Kistler.

Fairfax man fined $500 for liquor possession and sale

Lorenz Provost, who planned to tackle Fairfax unemployment, was arrested after paying his hired help in liquor. He pleaded guilty in justice court to possession and sale of liquor and paid a $500 fine. He did not attempt to settle the court in demi johns.
