David S Fitz 19 from Walkerville and Butte is washed overboard and lost at sea from the Ferdinand A Silcox en route from San Francisco to Japan. He was a Butte High School graduate of 1945 active in drama and public speaking and was vice president of the 1945 graduating class. He enlisted in the merchant marine last August and spent Christmas with his parents. He is survived by his parents a sister and numerous relatives in Butte Walkerville and Pueblo. News of his death was received with deep regret in Walkerville and Butte.
