Four workers from Western Fixture and Bar Supply Co were buried under a 30 foot high pile of rubble after a five story building collapsed in Cincinnati. Delmar Rudd 19 reported he was not badly hurt and could talk to rescuers while his father Al Rudd 45 was nearby. Rescue teams used power shovels and a derrick to reach the entombed men as others were pulled free. The basement area was flooded and officials blamed a weakened structure from repeated floods and overloading. damage was about 150 000 dollars.
