John Keller 22 waived preliminary hearing and was bound over to District Court on forgery charges. He remained jailed in lieu of $2000 bond after arraignment before Justice William J. Kopach. Complaint alleges Keller forged Carl Hafer s name on a $70 check cashed in Butte on February 5.

Ernest E Ogier Dies After Short Illness
Ernest Edwin Ogier died in a local hospital after a brief illness. Born in Iowa, he lived in Butte for 41 years and worked as a miner and later as a watchman at the Anselmo Mine. He belonged to the Methodist Church and resided at 1135 Farrell. Surviving are his wife Helen, mother Cordelia, brothers and sisters in law Felix Ogier and Ted Herman, a sister in law Charlotte Crossman, and several other relatives. The body is at Duggan Merrill Mortuary. funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Richard Vick, Mount Moriah Cemetery.

Requiem mass was held in Las Vegas for Mrs. Gerald Sylvain wife of Dr. Sylvain a Butte native. She died suddenly Sunday night of a heart attack and entombment followed in the Palm Mausoleum Building of Eternity. Survivors include her husband a daughter Marlene two sons Gerald and Robert all of Las Vegas.

De Giambattista DeJohn 2506 Nettie a former Butte miner died Thursday morning in a local hospital after an extended illness. An Italian native he came to the United States as a youth settled in Butte and worked over 30 years as a miner then seven years for Victor Chemical Co. He retired last year and was a member of St. Ann Church. His wife Grace DeJohn survives.
