William Knofel Escapes Again From County Jail
William Knofel, a 33 year old grand larceny suspect, escaped from Silver Bow County Jail by sawing through a cell hinge bolt early Saturday morning. Authorities say Knofel, described as 5 feet 10 inches, 155 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes, was last seen wearing a red checkered shirt over a gray dress shirt, gray slacks and tan oxfords, hatless. Deputy Brogan discovered the escape around 7 am during a breakfast delivery. the search continues as Sheriff Dalling cites possible outside help and plans arraignment rescheduled to March 19.

Cold Saturday as Montana sees arctic air move in

Two Livingston Boys Burned in Home Explosion
Livingston fire officials say John Reed aged 18 and his brother Mike 13 were severely burned in a Saturday home explosion. The brothers were alone with parents Mr. and Mrs. Verne Reed in Livingston. Fire Chief Harvey Cole reported the blast damaged attic and closets, tore part of the foundation, and that natural gas was ruled out as the cause. Both youths were hospitalized and investigators planned to question the boys later.
