One Hurt Two Escape in Traffic Accident Near Butte

A two car collision on Highway 10 south of Butte early Tuesday injured one man and left two others uninjured. Earl McConklin of Silver Bow Homes drove a Buick that failed to pass a Chevrolet driven by Bill Reinwald. The Buick left the road after the crash but the occupants escaped injury. McConklin was treated at St James hospital and released.

Prints From Photos Will Be Exhibited

The Butte Camera club will show 50 photographs taken in Italy at its first meeting of the month in the Montana Power auditorium. The program starts at 7 30 with Ruth J Nicol in charge. Also on the program are a tape talk Landscape Photography in Color and the Montana Color Slide Circuit. The black and white project Nursery Rhymes will be shown. Lyle E Downes, club secretary, announced the event to photographers.

Divorces Granted in Two District Court Cases

Judge John B. McClernan grants a divorce to Elsie P. Rudd from Walter K. Rudd for failure to provide. They wed at Dillon on December 24, 1952. Judge T. E. Downey grants Sylvia Ramsey a divorce from John Ramsey, married Eminence Missouri August 2, 1921, with a son reportedly with the defendant in Clifton Colorado. Rita Freitas seeks divorce from Robert Freitas alleging extreme cruelty. Also, Orville Ernest Nunlist to change name to Orville Ernest McKenzie. March 26 set to hear A G Piipo's final account and inheritance tax petition. Several title-quieting suits and tax deed actions filed or continued in various districts.

Mrs Forest Stuebe Feted On Birthday In Philipsburg

Mr and Mrs Harold Corbin hosted a birthday bridge party for Mrs Forest Stuebe Saturday. Attendees included the Stuebes with daughters Marlene and Jean, the Jensens with Debby, Alvin Corbin, the Fuzesys, Le Roy and Jackie, and the hosts' sons. High score went to Mrs Jensen and Mr Stuebe. low score to the Fuzesys. A birthday cake and gifts closed the celebration.

Film It Is Finished to be Shown at Nazarene Church

A 16 mm color film It Is Finished with sound will be shown at the Nazarene Church Marcia and Texas streets Saturday at 2 PM. Admission is free with a free will offering. Frances Bennett narrator, formerly with YWCA Bible classes and Billy Sunday evangelistic party, has taught at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Harold L Turner, state director of child evangelism, will bring the film to Butte after showings in Dillon and nearby towns.

Wallet Stolen While Owner Slept In Broad Daylight

David S. Watterson reports an intruder entered his room as he slept and escaped after slamming the door. The thief took only a wallet containing personal identification cards and valuables. Watterson gave the incident details to police at headquarters early Tuesday.

WAVE Eileen Murphy to Transfer to Pearl Harbor

Eileen Murphy a personnelman first class in WAVES with three years at Navy Main Recruiting Station is ordered to duty at Navy headquarters Pearl Harbor. Miss Murphy resident of Anaconda and WWII veteran is recalled to active duty from reserves and assigned to the Butte station. she re enlisted in WAVES and earned one promotion. She will report in San Francisco on April 5 for transportation.
