Montana Resources to fund health studies on mine dust in Butte
Mark Thompson of Montana Resources told the Butte-Silver Bow Board of Health the company will expand dust monitoring in the Greeley neighborhood and fund scientific studies on health effects. Butte Man Charged With Attempted Deliberate Homicide
Butte resident Conner Tex Webster, 21, was charged with felony attempted deliberate homicide after firing at a residence window just after 1 a.m. on Hummingbird Lane. Prosecutors say bullets penetrated interior drywall and one entered the front window. Webster remains jailed on 500000 bail. Deputy County Attorney Ellen Donahue leads the case. Fiber optic internet coming to Butte
TDS Telecommunications will bring fiber to about 15 000 homes and businesses in Butte with speeds 10 to 20 times faster than current providers. The $20 million build starts in 2023, lasting two to three years, adding residential and business phone options and up to 10 gig speeds for dedicated commercial customers.
