A masked 21 year old man strapped with 39 sticks of dynamite threatened to blow up a Montreal bank and was shot by Constable Joseph Perron after holding staff and customers at bay for 20 minutes. Police said a time bomb planted at Montreal central station was found and disarmed. The bomber, Andre DeBlois, was gravely wounded in the neck.
