In Lewisburg an inmate reports Hoffa’s final move was to point toward reporters gathered around the government car’s closed windows. In New York a man labeled Hoffa as a “spoiled rich kid” says he took little satisfaction from Hoffa’s lengthy murder convictions effort.
The Montana House passed a university funding measure allocating about 2.2 million for Tech over the next two years. The total university appropriation reaches 45.7 million in state funds with 36 million from the general fund and 9.7 million from a property tax levy.
A 54 year old ranchhand, Fred Wilson, was found crawling in deep snow six and a half hours after his horses escaped two miles from the B M Lawrence ranch near Wisdom. He suffered frostbite but no deep tissue damage and was recovering at Silver Bow General Hospital.
A severe winter storm blasted the East Coast with high winds rain and snow. Flooding affected Southern areas while the Northeast faced transport disruptions as crews assessed damage and counties issued warnings.
