George Bourquin former district judge and county attorney remained in very grave condition after a handball injury. Dr Howard Naffziger San Francisco brain specialist operated yesterday afternoon in Butte to try to save his life. The outcome was described as doubtful and his brother M M Bourquin accompanied the surgeon to Butte. Federal Judge George M Bourquin is his father.
Three men are found dead in a red tri motor plane wreckage buried in a canyon high in the San Bernardino mountains. Rescuers, who traced the crash site after pilots Dudley Steele and Mrs Juanita Burns reported sighting the wreckage, recovered the bodies after a 12 day search from Victorville and through rugged terrain.
John F. Snyder, a 26 year old miner, was shot by Bert Le Duc former Butte peace officer and died about 15 minutes before midnight on the eve of his birthday. Friends planned a birthday gathering at Mrs Verna Youngs home in Des Moines later mourners gathered at the Sherman Reed chapel.

It reacts instantly to tiny temperature changes, speeds beyond a thermocouple, and could save millions annually by reducing scrap. It fails on back porches as it operates only above 1,000 degrees.
More than a score of friends and police and sheriff’s department officers searched for Arthur Warnecke, 28, of 2933 Wharton Street, last seen Tuesday night after leaving to meet friends at the Masonic temple. His father William last saw him boarding a No 3 streetcar at 7 pm, and he did not reach the temple or return home by midnight, raising fears he may be harmed. The search continued as authorities pursued leads and residents aided in the effort.

Bert Le Duc former deputy sheriff and police officer was charged with first degree murder in an information filed in criminal court. The charge stems from the death of John F Snyder a 26 year old Butte miner shot at Le Duc s rooming house following an altercation early Wednesday. Bonds set at 15000 were posted and Le Duc released. Bondsmen include Henry Crangle John J Davis Frank Boucher and Carl Spillum. He also faced a first degree assault charge for an alleged attack on William Jones the 23 year old garage employee during the same period.
The Ancient Order of Hibernians will stage two St Patrick celebrations in Silver Bow county, with a March 12 pre event and a March 17 mass at St Joseph's and an evening dance at the Winter Garden.
