Youth Groups to Start Ash Tree Sales Friday
Seven thousand green ash trees will be planted in Butte this spring through a joint effort of youth groups and older supporters. Camp Fire Girls lead the project with help from Camp Fire Girls, Girl Scouts, 4-H, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in a citywide door to door sale starting Monday and running to March 18. Trees cost 50 cents and will be delivered around May 9. the tree type is green ash noted for hardiness and rapid growth.
