The Associated Press reports racial strife in South Carolina with lunch counter sit ins spreading. About 50 Black youths battered cars near Allen University and Benedict College in Columbia, a white woman injured by flying glass, bricks and clubs used by youths, a cross burned on Allen University property, and four Allen students arrested then released. Similar sit ins occurred in Florida Texas and Kentucky with hundreds arrested. 36 NAACP youth sit ins at a Tampa variety store lunch counter.

Savage killer captured after spree near Miami
A six foot red haired man accused of a four crime killing spree was captured by a posse near Jupiter Florida after abducting Mrs Virginia Selby in Miami and driving her to the woods where she was beaten to death. Police say he refused to identify himself and claimed responsibility for the Miami attacks. The manhunt for the shooter who killed two night station attendants and wounded another raged through Miami as authorities searched a wooded area where Mrs Selby’s body was found.

Freedom Crusade names Fischer Silver Bow County chairman

State Will Pay For Aronson Trip Passengers
