Frank Conley 75 former warden of the state penitentiary at Deer Lodge and long time mayor of Deer Lodge died in a Butte hospital after a month of illness. Thomas Newcomb longtime Butte and Anaconda resident since 1874 died Saturday night at his home on his 80th birthday. He was born March 4, 1859 in Illinois and lived in mining towns including Jerry Creek, Butte and Anaconda. Survived by son Myles Newcomb, daughter-in-law, daughter-in-law C J Lorenz, granddaughter Arlyne Newcomb, and sister Julette Elver. Funeral Tuesday at St Joseph church with burial at Holy Cross.
